Rabbi Jonathan Miller

Rabbi Jonathon Temple Emanu-El flourishes under the enthusiastic leadership of Rabbi Jonathan Miller, who joined our congregation in 1991. Previously, he served as a rabbi in Los Angeles and Auckland, New Zealand. He was ordained at the New York Campus of Hebrew Union College, Jewish Institute of Religion, after having graduated from Brandeis University. Rabbi Miller embraces the traditions of our congregation, while at the same time providing exciting and innovative program-ming. Rabbi Miller is married to Judith Schulmann-Miller, and they have three children: Aaron, Alana, and Benjamin.

Cantor Jessica Roskin

Cantor Jessica Roskin joined our Temple in the summer of 1999. Cantor Roskin was invested as clergy and received her master’s degree in sacred music from the Hebrew Union College – Jewish Institute of Religion, and she received her Bachelor’s degree in music and religious studies from Indiana University. A native of South Florida, Cantor Roskin’s talents enrich all areas of our congregation.

Rabbi Laila Haas 

Rabbi Laila Haas joins our Temple family from the Hebrew Union College in Cincinnati. As a student, Rabbi Haas served congregations in Galesburg, Illinois and Bluefield, West Virginia. She also served as rabbinic intern at Temple Beth Sholom in Miami Beach, Florida.
 
Rabbi Haas received her Bachelors of Arts in Judaic Studies from the University of Miami, a Masters of Arts in Hebrew Letters from the Hebrew Union College and a Masters of Education Administration with a Specialization in Jewish Education from Xavier University. She grew up in Miami Beach, FL where her father serves as Cantor of Temple Beth Sholom and spent many summers traveling throughout the Land of Israel. Laila is an avid college football fan, enjoys playing tennis and spending time with family and friends. Rabbi Haas is passionate about Judaism, Jewish education and congregational life, and we are excited to welcome her into our warm and loving community.
