It is with great pride and pleasure that I forward to you this email. Since we dedicated our Czech Holocaust Torah and placed it in the ark, Temple Emanu-El had an extra Torah that we had no space for.
With the approval of the Temple Board, we have loaned the extra Torah to the budding Reform congregation in Florence, Italy, which I visited with my family on my sabbatical two summers ago. One of the congregation's pioneering leaders is Suzannah Meyers, who many of you will remember grew up for many years in our congregation. She is the daughter of JoAnn Hess Morrison
